Our elite Dry Material Handling Equipment is manufactured and designed in Australia and is available in the following constructions: Mild Steel, Industrial Stainless Steel and Stainless Steel (Food Quality Finish).

It’s a prerequisite of feeder accuracy to maintain gravimetric uniformity of material at the feed auger. The unique Acromet concentric conditioning mechanism, “COAX Drive” and feed auger, give a superior and dependable material conditioning/feeding combination not available with other designs. Acromet selects the conditioning mechanism and rotating speed to suit the application that will provide the optimum conditions with the minimum of material agitation or degradation.

Acromet Models 1200, 1501X, 1500Z and 1700 Feeders are Dual Auger Feeders specifically designed for difficult to handle materials. The main Feed Auger in these units are supplemented by a slowly rotating concentrically mounted conditioning auger or blade, which maintains the supply of material at a constant bulk density to the feed auger. The gentle movement of product created by the secondary auger or blade encourages flow from hopper to feed chamber, preventing bridging and rat holing and, therefore, providing consistent, reliable volumetric feeding. Acromet test facilities are available for clients wishing a performance report prior to purchase of any Acromet Feeder. Alternatively, feeders are available for hire to clients requiring more detailed testing on site or on any noxious products.

Loss In Weight Feeders (Gravimetric Feeders)

Acromet’s vast range of accurate and reliable volumetric feeders, coupled with state of the art weigh process controllers, can deliver superior accuracy and reliability to meet any powder handling requirement. The success of Acromet COAX Volumetric Feeders, due to the smooth pre-feed product conditioning device (which provides uniformity of discharge rate), reduces the demands on the control system for compensatory action and thus ensures smoother control with correspondingly improved accuracy. Systems are designed and engineered for optimum performance to achieve the best possible accuracy within the design parameters. Gram accuracy can be achieved in batching applications and accuracies of 0.25% or better can be achieved in continuous loss in weight systems. Acromet can provide accurate gravimetric systems in the following configurations:

"Continuous Loss in Weight"
Continuous monitoring and adjustment of the feed rate using closed loop microprocessor control. Simply select manually or remotely a specified flow (kg/hr) and the system will maintain and adjust the feeder to the desired set point.

"Batch Loss in Weight"
The feeder and hopper are continuously weighed against a pre programmed reduction in weight. Feeding ceases upon reaching the predetermined set point (g, kg, tonnes). Dual flow rate control is required to optimise accuracy when approaching the target set point weight.

"Batch Gain in Weight"
The feeder and hopper feed product onto a weigh platform, which is continuously weighed against a pre programmed accumulation of weight. Feeding ceases upon reaching the predetermined set point (g, kg, tonnes). Dual flow rate control is required to optimise accuracy when approaching the target set point weight. In-flight compensation is required to ensure over filling does not occur.

Acro-Flex - Flexible Screw Conveyor

ACRO-FLEX

Designed to elevate/transfer dry materials from floor mounted hopper or bulk bag unloader, to process machinery. Acro-Flex is a stainless steel coil auger rotating inside a polyamide flexible tube, making it possible to gently bend around obstructing equipment. Four models are available ranging from 1000 to 9000 l/hr units are available in mild steel, 304/316 stainless steel and to a food grade finish.

Continuous Blenders

A multi purpose dual auger continuous in line blender, for thorough smooth mixing of two or more free flowing dry materials.

The two concentrically mounted augers rotate at different speeds with bi-directional motion creating a gentle positive mixing action in longitudinal, annular and radial directions.

The Model 3500 Blender is suitable for a wide range of blending processes, involving blending rates from 0.35 to 50m³/hr.

Acromet Bulk Bag Unloaders are Australian designed and manufactured to handle any bulk handling requirement. They are available in single bag or duty standby configuration. Available in mild steel or stainless steel construction.

Polymer Preparation Systems

Polymer Preparation

Acromet (Aust) Pty Ltd announces the release of a range of automatic plants, for the preparation of polyelectrolyte solutions. These products are used as particle agglomerates in water suspension and are typically supplied in two forms:

Powder: which requires homogenous mixing and aging or
Emulsion: concentrated liquid which requires dilution and aging

They have a wide range of applications in water treatment, both in clarification-flocculation primary phase and in mud dehydration final phase. They have also applications with powders suitable for food use, and in potable water treatment. Along with Polymer Preparation Systems, Acromet Batching systems can also be used for products such as lime, bentonite and powder activated carbon (PAC), where accurate dilutions are required.

Systems are available in stainless steel or polypropylene, offering excellent chemical resistance combined with a light weight and self contained package.
